As I scroll down my pinterest feed this morning, I realize...
there is
so much to learn in this lifetime.
Why do we waste our time on the petty things? the drama? holding onto emotions that don't help us?
Morning 3 without facebook...instead I slept an extra 30 minutes, oil pulled for my teeth and gums, washed my face, enjoyed my morning cup of Earl Grey (organic, delicious!) and had a nice chat with Craig.
Today, here are 3 things that I will practice letting go:
1- dread. the feeling of dread, or waiting to do something that im not super excited about KILLS me. I waste so much time just hating the fact that in 8 hrs, 3 hrs, 1 hr, I have to be ready to work/errands/whatever. I want to fill my time with meaningful activities, right down to the last minute!
2- nervous/bored habits. I have a lot of weird ticks because I cant sit still! it seems like my hands need to be constantly doing something. messing with hair, messing with nosering, messing with fingernails, messing with face, messing with whatever im holding...
instead, I will find a mudra to practice whenever im sitting still.
3- disclaimers. I noticed last night that when im asking for something that I need- help, attention, backrub, whatever- I always end with a disclaimer that gives the person a chance to back out and not contribute, without putting the blame on them. When I give my little "or if you can't/won't/don't feel like it, that's fine too" I'm basically saying "I need this, BUT I don't. carry on." I really want to get better at truly asking for what I need, and this is a first step.
should be an interesting day! happy Tuesday~ jet
